Awesome Show and Asparagus

Today after we got home from daycare it was nice and cool outside. Usually it's so stinkin' humid it's just miserable to go outside. But since it was nice, you wanted to go play outside. You look so serious in this picture, but you were just being too cute tonight.

We sat in the drive way and watched the fireflies under the trees. This picture isn't a very good representation of how many there were, but it's the only one I took that looked decent. There were literally hundreds and hundreds of fireflies. One almost landed on me and I freaked out and started swatting at the air and you laughed and laughed and thought that was the funniest thing ever!

We went out to the garden and picked some asparagus. I've never seen them grow so long. You wanted to carry this one around with you. You tried taking a bite of it, but you didn't like it. It was funny to see your face.

It was a fun evening of just being outside and spending some good quality time together!
