You must have known that today was going to be a fun-filled day. You woke up really happy and let me take a ton of pics this morning. You even pulled some funny faces for me. "Mom, come here so I can give you a good morning kiss."
"Excuse me? Where are my eggs, toast, and bacon for breakfast?"
After breakfast, you headed over to the couch to watch some TV. It was so funny how you were laying on the couch.
You just love to watch Whinnie the Pooh, Tigger, and Darby. Another of your favorites is Mickey Mouse Club House. You were lounging on the couch like you owned the place. You're so funny.
You went down for your mid-morning nap, and Aunt Lexie and I sneaked away to do some birthday shopping for her. We went to Ross and WalMart, and I got you come cute new shoes. You wanted to try both pairs of them on the same time. I put the butterfly shoes on you, and you cried and wanted the other pair on. So, I put the jelly pair on and you wanted the butterfly ones on again. I wasn't about to play that game of switching shoes back and forth, so we compromised and you settled for one of each shoe. You are so stinkin' smart and demanding!
After that, we headed out to Great Aunt Sandy's in Weatherford for a big party for Andrew and Shane (my cousin, Heather's little boy). Lex & Jon brought these cakes up from Austin, and they were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I only let you have some of the white cake, b/c I did not want to have to clean chocolate out of your hair and off your clothes.
The theme of the party was Go, Diego, Go! So, we went on a "safari hunt" around the backyard before we went swimming. This little girl, Emma, is a friend of Shane's and everyone kept saying she looks like she could be my daughter, so we decided to see what the two of you would look like standing next to each other. It's funny that it was Autumn & Emma, b/c at home that's usually you and Emma, the dog!
Emma warmed right up to me and was not shy at all and came and sat on my lap during lunch. You were over playing with the water table. As soon as you saw her sitting on my lap, you rushed over and wanted her to get down. From the way you're looking at her, I don't think you were too happy that she was taking over your spot on my lap.
As you can see, you had fun swimming and needed to kick back and have a nice cool one (of water).
After swimming and eating, we got cleaned up and got ready to open gifts. You sat on this little rocking reindeer for a while, and just laughed and laughed.
"Hey! Where's Autumn? Where did she go?"
You and Brooke were chowing down on grapes like crazy, and were sharing out of the same bowl. So cute!
Andrew cracks me up when he does his funny face. You had such a good time running around and playing with him.
You both had fun sitting on the piano bench "playing" the piano.
Next, it was time for the Diego pinata. Everyone got a little string to pull, and it opened up the bottom of Diego's backpack, and lots of fun goodies came pouring out.
You knew right what to do and sat down in the middle of the candy and just started grabbing for it like you did for Tyler's Flag Day Party.
Time to sing to Andrew and Shane. "Happy birthday to you..."
Shane got a fishing pole for his birthday, so all you kids went outside to watch him try it out in the pool. You, however, were more interested in playing with the dogs.
You wanted to get back in and swim, but I already had you all cleaned up and dressed. So, you settled for just taking a picture on the waterfall. You look like you could be a little Hawaiian Princess with your green lei on.
After all that fun, you needed a little quiet time, and crawled up into Rufio's lap to take a little break.
That didn't last too long, though, and you were off to your next activity. We played ring around the rosy and had so much fun. Every time we would "fall down" you would let out a squeal of delight and pop right back up to do it again.
After all that fun, it was time to head home. You loved your little puppets so much, that you had one on each hand and were still holding your bottle. What a kid!
From the looks of things, I think you had a wonderful day, and we wore you out!
