Easter Party at the Farm

Today we were going to get up early and meet Auntie Tara & Uncle Michael at the Ft. Worth Zoo, but you threw up this morning and Uncle Michael wasn't feeling well either. So, we just spent the morning relaxing and then it was time to head out to Aunt Sandy & Uncle Robert's farm in Weatherford for our Easter Party. You got a really bad fever on the way there, and we stopped and Uncle Jon adjusted you (he's a chiropractor) and that helped, and then I gave you some medicine when we got to the farm. You were feeling great in just a few minutes. As you can tell, you assumed your position as queen of the castle pretty quick.

This picture of the wind just blowing if your duck fuzz hair is so cute. You look like you're ready for the adventures the day has in store.

First, was a trip in this little car. You just sat in this car for about 15 minutes and you loved it when I pushed you around in it. I'm in trouble if you're already wanting to drive at this young age!

Next, we went and roasted some marshmallows to make a S'more. We had to borrow those pants from Baby Brooke, b/c I only packed shorts b/c the weather was supposed to be warm. And it was warm...actually, the weather as perfect at 75 degrees, but there was a breeze and it was cold in the shade so we borrowed those pants.

After our S'mores, it was off to the pond to check out what the boys were doing. It makes me so happy that you are walking but yet you still want to hold my hand.

We found the boys fishing, and they caught one right as we got there!

After that, it was time for the "cousins picture". There's Heather and her son Shane, you, Andrew, Caleb, Brooke, and Tyler (Caleb & Brooke's dad). It was quite a feat to get all of you to sit on that bench so we could get pictures. Everyone was excited to start the Easter egg hunt.

Here you're whispering secrets to Andrew as to where all the eggs were hidden.

You didn't waste any time in finding your first egg.

I was so proud of you, b/c I told you to put the egg in your basket and you did! I thought you would be too young to know what was going on, but you were loving every second of it.

"You know I've got it!"

You were too excited to notice that Shane took all two of the Easter eggs you had collected.

But that didn't slow you down at all. You were just ALL smiles and were so excited and were having so much fun. I took about 100 pictures today, but am just posting the best ones.

I love your facial expressions most of all. You were having so much fun sitting in the leaves and playing with your eggs that we took back from Shane.

PRECIOUS!!!

After all the egg hunting fun you wanted to take it easy, so I put you in the swing and you got a little crazy with the basket on your head.

I am SO HAPPY that you had such a good time with your 2nd Easter.

After the egg hunt, we went down to the pond to watch Uncle Jon and Andrew go out on a kayak. You were tired, so you and I laid down on a blanket near the pond and took a nap. You wanted to ride in the car again, and now I know I'm really in trouble when you turn 16 and can drive.

After that, it was time for Uncle Robert to drive. He took you and Brooke on a tractor ride around the farm.

After that, you decided it was your turn to drive your own little tractor. And from the cute little look on your face, you are awfully pleased with yourself.

By this time, it was starting to get late. We drove over to Aunt Sandy's house to see the new baby chicks they are keeping in their garage. You had fun petting the baby chicks.

And from the looks of this picture, you had a great day and we wore you out. I really was so thrilled that you were feeling better and had such a good time. You were all smiles and laughs. It was the PERFECT day b/c the weather was so nice, you were so happy, the food was so good, the activities we did were new and exciting, and you just loved every minute of it. It makes me happy when you're happy.

LOVE YOU!
