Today was a super hard day. I don’t remember how, but Dad and I ended up at McDonald’s for breakfast. We had breakfast and I had been debating for the last 3 days if I should tell Grammy Lisa and Grandpa Kerry that I was pregnant with you. But I just felt like I should, so Daddy and I went outside and I sat on a bench there and called Grammy. Daddy was super nervous and wanted to go sit in the car, but I wouldn’t let him. She picked up and we chit chatted for a little bit and then I just took a deep breath and told her. She was understandably disappointed, but was very supportive and nice about it. I started crying. She said that we needed to have a wedding when they were up here to put Uncle Nate in the MTC. I had planned on Dad and I just going to the courthouse to get married. But Grammy said we were going to do it as nice as we could. I was overwhelmed by how supportive she was. I told her that she had to tell Grandpa Kerry. She said he was at work, but she would tell him.
We left and I ended up calling a bunch of people like Great Grandma Ruthie and a bunch of other family members. Everyone was disappointed, but very supportive and loving. It was amazing. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I was glad I decided to tell everyone. I had debated not telling everyone, because I didn’t want to steal Nate’s thunder of going into the MTC and Lexie’s thunder of her baby shower. But it was a good decision to let it out.
