OK, Baby Ziggy, we now know that you are going to be a little baby girl! I am super excited, because I love little girls. I can dress you in cute frilly dresses and I want to get your ears pierced as soon as we can. Boys are great too, but I’d rather start off with a cute little girl than a stinky little boy! :) Dad was able to leave his internship early and meet me at LDS hospital for the official ultrasound. They laid me down on a table and went to work. About 10 minutes into it my arms started to tingle and I got really light headed. I had to stop the intern and tell her I didn’t feel well. She sat me up and went to get me some juice. I told Dad to grab the trash can, and threw up. I hate to throw up, but luckily I haven’t been sick at all with you! Thanks!
So, I threw up and felt much better. Luckily I had only had cereal for breakfast and it wasn’t too bad. Poor Dad had to sit there and hold the trash can for me. Anyway, I felt much better and they brought in the real ultrasound tech and she had me sit a little propped up, which helped A LOT! I didn’t get sick again. We got some cute pics of your left and right foot, your profile, and of course the picture letting us know you’re a girl. You weren’t very cooperative with them getting a picture of your spine. They had to stop and have me get up and go to the bathroom hoping that you would move so they could get a pic. I did and came back, and you hadn’t moved.
So, then they brought in this lady doctor who I really didn’t like much. She was kind of weird. But you did turn and they were able to get the pic they needed. So I had to get warm gel all over my belly 3 times. But it was worth it to be able to see some really good pictures of you. It is amazing to me what technology can do. We could see your brain structure, your heart beating, your bones, etc. SO NEAT! We went out to eat at Sizzler’s to celebrate. I can’t wait for you to get here.
