Tonight when we got home Uncle Nick and I were jamming out on the karaoke machine. You decided that you needed a turn.
"Hello??? Is this thing on?”

Popcorn with Papa
"Papa, what is that lovely smell coming from the white bowl? Popcorn you say? Can I try some?"
"No, Emma. You can't have any, so don't even think about it."
"Papa, are you sure this stuff tastes good? I'm not too sure about this."
"Ok, if you say it's good then I'll give it a try."
"Hey! This stuff is GREAT! I'm going to stuff my mouth as full of popcorn as I can get it!"

Princess in the Purse
You are addicted to purses and usually have 2 or 3 of them on your arm while you walk around the house. Today you found one of Mimi's bags, and Papa decided if you like purses so much, how about if you ride in one? This video is TOO FUNNY!
After the purse ride, you decided you wanted to get out.
"Hey, let me out of this thing! I am the Princess of Purses, but I don't want to be Princess in the Purse!"
"This is bad for my public image. Please, no more pictures."
"OK, fine, if you insist on continuing to take pictures, I have no choice but to go and consult with my lawyer."
"Now, where were those papers I needed to look over to sue my Mother, the crazy picture taking paparazzi?"
"Yes, everything looks in order. Please hand me a pen and I will sign these. She'd better not post that video on my blog!"

Potato Picker Video
Today you wanted to go and help Grandpa in the garden. He was digging up potatos, and you were such a good helper. I am so impressed every day that you are SO SMART! You picked the potatos out of the dirt pile and put them in the bucket right away, without us showing you how to do it. I love at the end where you stick your little chest out, b/c you are so proud of yourself. You are such an amazing little girl and I love you so much, and am proud of you, too!

Mama & Mohawk
You are so funny to watch lately. You will sit on the floor and get 3 or 4 of your little babies we have for you and put them all around you. Then you'll pick one up and play with it for a little bit and then put it back and get another one. I had just finished changing your diaper, and I caught you making this face with a wipe in your hand, so I guess you were changing a stinky baby's diaper, just like I change yours! Your facial expression cracks me up.
"YUCKY! You can have the stinky diaper, Mom!"
"Who, me? I'm not getting into the wipes! I'm, um... um... cleaning up. Yeah, that's it...I'm cleaning up!" (You have such a guilty look on your face)
After that, it was time for me to play Mama and give you a bath b/c you were stinky. I love being able to give you a bath and just play and make bubbles in the water with the soap. It's fun to give you crazy hairdos, too! Nice mohawk!
You are just too cute for words. Look at that tongue. I was showing you how to make a fish face, and this was your imitation of me making a fish face.

Garden Gnome & Cucumber Connoisseur
Tonight after we went swimming, we went out to water the garden. You weren't sure what to think of having mud on your feet.
You were watching Grandma water the garden, and forgot about having dirty feet.
Grandma was picking cucumbers, and you wanted one.
I liked how the water coming out of the hose looked in this picture.
You were SO FUNNY with these cucumbers. You had to have one in each hand, and still wanted one more. We weren't sure where you would put it since both your hands were already full. But you showed us...just put it in your mouth, DUH! I tried taking one from you so you wouldn't be making bite marks in the cucumber, but you got SO MAD. So, I guess we'll just have to start calling you the Cucumber Connoisseur!

Washcloths and Water
I don't know what it is, but you are OBSESSED with washcloths as well as water.
Tonight was your lucky night, b/c you had a washcloth and Grandma was watering the plants, so you also got some water to play with.
I knew it wouldn't be long before you would want to get in the pool and wouldn't be satisfied with just the hose water.
You and Grandma had fun playing in the pool with the hose at the same time. That hose water was really cold compared to the pool water that sits out in the sun all day and feels like bath water.

Piano, Pole, and Pooh Practice
You and Andrew decided you were going to practice the piano.
You definitely still need lots and lots of practice. But you had fun tickling the ivories.
You had so much fun playing with this big empty cardboard tube. You used it to practice being a pole vaulter.
Then Grandpa showed you how to talk into the end of it, and you had fun "talking" into it.
After that, you brushed up on your reading skills with a little Winnie the Pooh book.

Diapers, Drawing, and Dunce Caps
I still don't know what it is with you and diapers. You LOVE to go get into the basket on the floor where I keep your diapers and get out about 5 or 6 of them and just carry them around and open them and play with them. I'm glad that such a simple thing keeps you entertained for so long.
We went out to dinner tonight with Grammy, and while we waited for our food, you wanted to draw, so we got you a paper and some crayons. You did a pretty good job of coloring with mine and Grammy's help.
We cleaned out some things in the attic tonight and one of them was a castle that Uncle Nick had made for a school project. It was falling apart and this was one of the turrets. But we tried it on you and it looked like a little dunce cap!
I still love you, though. Even if you are wearing a dunce cap.

Crocs and Crops
Grammy got you some cute new shoes today. They're the WalMart knock off version of crocs.
But that didn't matter to you, b/c you loved them and wore them all night.
After your bath tonight, your bangs were down in your eyes, so I decided it was time to give you a trim. Grammy trimmed your bangs, and I think you look SOOOO different!
You went from a cute little baby to a little girl right before my eyes! But, you're still just as sweet and happy as ever.

Princesses, Piano Prodigy, and Papa
Grammy Lisa bought this fabric at her quilting retreat, and when we got home from daycare today, this is what was waiting for you. Your very on Princess Castle.
You were so excited and just loved looking at the fabric before you figured out you were supposed to climb in.
We had fun playing in your castle tonight and we made it comfy with a nice soft blankey and pillows to lay on.
After we got in jammies, you wanted to play the piano with Grammy.
You liked hitting the keys and you would wiggle your little bummy while you played. Look at that wide finger spread. You're gonna be a star!
Look at those fingers arched and poised and ready to tickle the ivories.
This is a chair I used to love to sit in as a little girl. I heard you crying and came over to see that either your leg is rubber and you stretched it out or else you got your jammies caught on the chair.
You and Papa had fun dancing around the room while Grammy played the piano. What a fun evening!
